Naflafiwrimo Day 12: A White Christmas

Phew, cutting it close today. I was busier than expected, mostly because of cake, which is not such a bad excuse.

This story is slightly out of season, but hopefully it’s still amusing…

A White Christmas

‘I’m dreaaaaming… of a whiiiite Christmaaas,’ the carollers sing. The street is blanketed with the snow that is drifting down from the sky. Bright Christmas lights shine above every shop window, and every window shines warmth out onto the street.

A boy catches a snowflake on his tongue, then looks up as his father. The snow falls around them, landing and turning invisible on his father’s white robe and hood.

The KKK carol service didn’t raise much money this year, but they had a lovely evening.
